Our Story
In 1977 we started promoting the rich culture and heritage of Odisha and Chhattisgarh to people across the World. The States had much to offer in terms of beautiful temple cities , monuments , art , architecture , nature and wildlife . However Tourism and tourists those days were limited to just exploring few temples and monumental sites . Never did they venture deep into the heart of our People or Places.
We believed that there's more to Odisha and Chhattisgarh .
When we set foot to embrace and explore the real culture and ethos of Odisha formerly known as Orissa and Chhattisgarh previously a part of Orissa little did we know what eternal and priceless wonders lay in these beautiful states . To tap these authentic and rustic routes we set out to travel into its heartland , best explored those days on traditional bullock carts as buses and trucks could never approach the narrow village roads ! Pleasantly welcomed by typical rural farmers harvesting their rice fields we crossed over the rolling valleys to reach the untouched ethnic tribal villages. The tinted spread of ethnic mosaic brought over by the 62 culturally vibrant tribes including 13 primitive tribal groups were found sprinkled all over the state. Initially apprehensive but curious , the Tribal people welcomed us graciously into their Land. We gently absorbed their unique aura as they led us onto their mesmerising legends , myths and beliefs , their sounds and music , life and customs. Everything around them had significance ...trees , wood , leaves , roots , soil , stones , rocks , mountains, river , even animals . They had a sustainable way of living and hence everything around them was necessary as it gave them the force of life in some form !
Holding close to our hearts all these timeless stories and experiences we came back inspired and have since dedicated our time and efforts into promoting and showcasing the sublime beauty of Odisha and Chhattisgarh , its People and Places through Responsible , Susatinable tourism and trail-bearing of our valued guests .
